Fuel Level Sensor: Service and Repair

Description:

Removal Procedure

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Locate the fuel Level sender/gauge module (2) under the passenger supplemental inflatable restraint (1), and in between the Plenum and blower motor.

3. Remove the foam tape wrapped around the module.

4. Remove the module end cover.

5. Remove the circuit board inside the module housing being careful not to bend or twist the circuit board.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the circuit board inside the module housing being careful not to bend or twist the circuit board.

2. Install the module end cover.

3. Rewrap the module in foam tape.

4. Position the fuel level sender/gauge module (2) back up under the passenger supplemental inflatable restraint (1).

5. Connect the negative battery cable.
