Replacement

REMOVAL
1. Remove the oil pan.
2. Remove the oil pump bolt.
3. Remove the oil pump.
4. Inspect the oil pump screen and pipe assembly for looseness. If the tube is loose in the oil pump body, replace it. A loose screen or pipe assembly can result in an air leak and loss of oil pressure.

INSTALLATION
1. Install the oil pump to the engine. Align the slot in the oil pump shaft with the tang on the distributor shaft. The oil pump should slide easily into place. No gasket is used.
2. Install the oil pump bolt.
^ Tighten the bolt to 90 Nm (66 ft. lbs.).
3. Install the oil pan.
