Intake Manifold Clean and Inspect

1. Clean the following parts:
^ Gasket surfaces
^ Intake passages of the manifold
^ Coolant passages of the intake manifold
^ EGR passages
2. Inspect the lower aluminum portion of the manifold for the following conditions:
^ Cracks or damage to the housing
^ Restricted EGR passages
^ Damage to the gasket sealing surfaces
3. Inspect the upper composite portion of the manifold for the following conditions:
^ Cracks or damage
^ Broken bolt/stud mounting bosses
^ Cracked or damaged gasket retaining groove
