Low and Reverse Band Servo Pin Check

- J 21370-10 Gage Pin
- J 38737 Servo Pin Checking Tool
- Or Equivalent





1. Install the J 21370-10 into the rear servo pin bore.
2. Position J 38737 over the bore with the hex hub facing the parking pawl linkage.
3. Fasten tool J 38737 to the case with two rear servo cover bolts and torque to 24 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
4. Verify that tool J21370-10 moves freely in tool J 38737 and in the servo pin bore.
5. In order to determine the correct pin length, apply 34 Nm (25 ft. lbs.) of torque to the hex hub on J 38737.
6. Observe the lands on J 21370-10 to see which land is even with the top edge of J 38737.
7. Refer to the Rear Servo Pin Specification chart in the Transmission General Specifications in order to determine the correct pin usage.
