Rear Housing Disassembly

- Tools Required:
- Hydraulic Press
- J 36511 Oil Drain and Fill plug Hex Bit (17 mm)
- J 23907 Slide Hammer with Pilot Bearing Puller

DISASSEMBLE





1. Rear housing shift shaft bearing, using J 23907 with pilot bearing puller.
A. Position puller legs behind bearing lip.
B. Tighten.
C. Slide hammer out.
- If the bearing lip breaks off, position puller legs behind the inside (outer end) bearing lip and repeat procedure.
2. Drive out dowel pins.





3. Three bolts, output shaft bearing retainer, and bearing assembly, using brass drift.

4. Gasket material from the case using liquid gasket remover.
5. Oil drain and fill plugs into the transmission case using J 36511.
