Installation

1. Install the engine into the vehicle.





2. Install the left side engine mount through-bolts.





3. Install the right side engine mount through-bolts.
4. Disconnect the engine lifting device.
5. Connect the fuel pipes.
6. Connect the throttle linkage. Refer to Powertrain Management.
7. Connect the cruise control cable assembly if the vehicle is equipped with cruise control.
8. Connect the vacuum hoses.
9. Connect the wiring harness to the engine. Refer to Powertrain Management.
10. Connect the heater hose to the intake manifold. Refer to Heater and Air Conditioning.
11. Connect the power steering lines to the power steering pump. Steering and Suspension.
12. Install the radiator. Refer to Cooling System.
13. Install the air conditioning compressor. Refer to Heating and Air Conditioning.
14. Install the water pump. Refer to Cooling System.
15. Raise and support the vehicle.
16. Install the transmission.
17. Connect the ground strap to the engine block.
18. Install the transmission inspection cover.
19. Connect the braces to the engine and the transmission.
20. Connect the exhaust pipe to the exhaust manifold. Refer to Exhaust System.
21. Install the oxygen sensor.
22. Lower the vehicle.
23. Install the battery.
