Horn: Adjustments
Turn the adjustment screw clockwise to increase current or counterclockwise to decrease current until the specified current is reached. Care must be taken not to turn the adjustment screw too far. Turn the screw 90 degrees at a time. If adjustment loosens the screw excessively, it may be staked with a punch.Cold Weather Adjustment
If the horns fails to operate in cold weather, it is possible that the current limit is set too low, although still within the 4.5 to 5.5 ampere limit for each horn at 12.0 volts.
NOTICE: This adjustment should not be made unless the horns fail to operate. A current in crease on a properly operating horn can result in complete malfunction of the horn.
Adjust
1. To increase current, rotate the adjustment screw in the clockwise direction.
2. To decrease current, rotate the adjustment screw in the counterclockwise direction.
- Current limit: 4.5 amperes at 12.0 volts.
3. Adjustments should be made at 90 degree intervals.
