Troubleshooting Hints - Interior Lights Dimming

1. Check the condition of the PK LPS fuse and the ILLUM fuse. If fuse is open, LOCATE and REPAIR source of the overload. Replace fuse.
2. Check for proper installation of after-market electronic equipment which may effect the integrity of other systems.
- Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause system malfunction but prove GOOD in a continuity/voltage check with a system disconnected. These circuits may be intermittent or resistive when loaded, and if possible, should be checked by monitoring for a voltage drop with the system operational (under load).
- Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems.
3. If the "I/P lamps do not dim when using the Panel Dimmer Switch, check the GRY (8) wire for a short to voltage. If OK, replace the Headlamp Switch.
4. If the I/P lamps dims erratically when using the Panel Dimmer Switch, check the Panel Dimmer Switch for a poor connection. If OK, replace the Panel Dimmer Switch.
5. If one or more of the "I/P bulbs will not illuminate, check the GRY (8) wire for voltage at the location of the inoperative bulb. If voltage exists, repair open in BLK(WHT (151) or BLK (150).
