Oil Pan Removal
1. Remove the oil level indicator.
2. Raise the vehicle and support it with safety stands.
3. Remove the front axle shield. Refer to Steering and Suspension.
4. Remove the front underbody shield. Refer to Steering and Suspension.
5. Remove the front propeller shaft. Refer to Transmission and Drivetrain.
6. Remove the front differential through bolts, and roll the differential forward. Refer to Transmission and Drivetrain.
7. Drain the engine oil.
8. Disconnect the wiring harness from the bracket at the right side of the oil pan.
9. Remove the oil cooler lines.
10. Remove the oil filter adapter. Service and Repair
11. Remove the starter motor. Refer to Starting and Charging.
12. Remove the following fasteners.
^ The bolts
^ The nuts
13. Remove the oil filter adapter bolts.
14. Remove the oil filter adapter gasket.
15. Remove the oil filter adapter O-ring seal, if equipped.
16. Remove the oil pan and oil pan gasket.
NOTE: Discard the old oil pan gasket.
