Fog/Driving Lamp: Description and Operation
Voltage is supplied to the Fog Light Relay at all times through the LT BLU (316) and ORN (340) wires and the DRL/FOG fuse. When the Fog Light Switch is ON, voltage is supplied to the coil of the Fog Lamp Relay through the PPL (34) wire. Ground for the coil is provided through the Daytime Running Lamps Control Module, LT ORN (911) wire and the LT ORN (11) wire, the High Beam element of the LH Headlamp and the BLK (150) wire to ground G125. With the Fog Lamp Relay energized, voltage is provided to the Fog Lamps On Indicator and the Fog Lamps through the LT BLU (316) wire, the normally open contacts of the Fog Lamp Relay and the PPL/WHT (134) wires. If the Headlamps are on High Beam, voltage is supplied to the LT ORN (11) wires and the High Beam elements of the headlamps. This removes the ground for the Fog Lamp Relay and de-energizes the circuit.
