Fog/Driving Lamp: Adjustments

The fog lamps can be adjusted vertically by turning the adjustment screw. On the Bravada utility, the adjustment screw is located above the center of the fog lamp. Turning the adjustment screw clockwise raises the aim of the fog lamp, and turning the screw counterclockwise lowers the aim. On all other vehicles, the adjustment screw is located below the center of the lens on the lamp assembly. Turning the screw clockwise lowers the aim of the fog lamp, and turning the screw counterclockwise raises the aim. The fog lamps cannot be adjusted horizontally.

The fog lamps can be adjusted using the screen method. Refer to "Headlamp Adjustment" for information on setting up an aiming screen. To aim the fog lamps using the screen method:
1. Position the vehicle squarely with the screen, so that the front surfaces of the fog lamps are 7.62 m (25 feet) from the aiming screen.
2. Make sure that all vehicle components are properly installed, if other work has been performed on the vehicle. Stop all other work on the vehicle.
3. Make sure the vehicle has 1/2 tank of fuel or less.
4. Close all of the vehicle's doors.
5. Rock the vehicle to stabilize the suspension.
6. Adjust the height of the horizontal tape line on the aiming screen so that the distance between the line and the floor is 100 mm (4 inches) LESS than the distance between the floor and the horizontal centerline of the fog lamps.
7. Turn on the fog lamps, and block the light from the headlamps, if necessary.
8. Observe the top edge of the high intensity zones on the aiming screen.

Adjust
The top edge of the high intensity zones must be at or below the level of the horizontal tape line.
