Cylinder Head Removal

1. Remove the intake manifold.





2. Remove the exhaust manifold. Refer to Exhaust System.
3. Remove the following components from the left cylinder head.
^ The electrical connector at the coolant temperature sensor.
^ The air conditioning compressor and bracket. Refer to Heating and Air Conditioning.
4. Remove the generator and bracket from the right cylinder head. Refer to Powertrain management.





5. Remove the pushrods.
6. Remove the sparkplugs.





7. Remove the cylinder head bolts.





8. Remove the cylinder head.





9. Remove the gasket.
