General Description

Wiring Diagram:

The rear window wiper/washer system has a one-speed, permanent-magnet, depressed-park wiper motor assembly. The wiper motor drives a gear box, that in turn drives a wiper pivot that provides an oscillating output to a wet-arm wiper arm assembly. The wiper motor assembly is mounted on the liftgate and is serviced as a unit. No overhaul kits are available.

A controller assembly is also mounted on the liftgate. The controller's printed circuit board controls all wiper motor assembly functions as determined by the position of the wiper/washer switch.

The washer solvent container is part of the coolant recovery tank which is mounted behind the right headlamp on the radiator support. The rear washer pump consists of a permanent-magnet motor and pump assembly. The rear washer pump mounts in the washer solvent container, next to and higher than the front washer pump. This mounting arrangement allows the rear washer pump to run out of solvent before the front washer pump.
