Component Tests and General Diagnostics

1. CHECK to see that the LOCKS SEATS Circuit Breaker and CIG LTR Fuse (Fuse 13) are not open. If open, LOCATE and REPAIR source of overload. Then, REPLACE Fuse and/or Circuit Breaker.
2. If no overload is found, REPLACE Circuit Breaker and/or Fuse and proceed with diagnostics.
3. CHECK Side Door Jamb Switch for binding, REPLACE Switch if damaged.
4. If the vehicle is equipped with a Liftgate, Refer to Trunk/Liftgate for REPAIR. Rear Liftgate Window Release is completely independent from the Power Door Locks system. Trunk / Liftgate
^ CHECK for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause system malfunction but prove GOOD in a Continuity/Voltage check with a system disconnected. These Circuits may be intermittent or resistive when loaded, and if possible, should be checked by monitoring for a Voltage drop with the system operational (under load).
^ CHECK for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems (See Diagnostic Aids for General Troubleshooting Procedures). Diagnostic Aids
