Temperature Sensor (Gauge): Service and Repair

Coolant Temperature Sensor:

Remove or Disconnect
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Coolant.
3. Engine cover.
4. Coolant temperature sensor electrical connector from the electrical harness at the intake manifold.
5. Coolant temperature sensor electrical connector from intake manifold bracket.
6. Coolant temperature sensor from cylinder head.

Install or Connect
1. Coolant temperature sensor to cylinder head.

Tighten
^ Sensor to 20 N.m (15 Lb. ft).

2. Snap coolant temperature sensor electrical connector to the intake manifold bracket.
3. Coolant temperature sensor electrical connector to the wiring harness at the intake manifold.
4. Coolant.
5. Engine cover.
6. Negative battery cable.
