Composite Headlamp Replacement

Composite Headlamp Assembly:

Remove or Disconnect
^ Make sure the headlamp switch is off. Refer to Service Precautions.
^ Open the hood.
1. Capsule assembly from the composite headlamp assembly by removing one retaining screw.
2. Three composite headlamp assembly mounting bolts.
3. Headlamp assembly.
4. Headlamp electrical connectors.

CAUTION: Halogen bulbs contain a gas under pressure. Handling a bulb improperly could cause it to shatter into flying glass fragments. To help avoid personal injury:
^ Turn off the lamp switch and allow the bulb to cool before changing it. Leave the switch off until change is complete.
^ Always wear eye protection when changing a halogen bulb.
^ Handle the bulb only by its base. Avoid touching the glass.
^ Do not drop or scratch the bulb. Keep moisture away.
^ Place the used bulb in the new bulb's carton and dispose of it properly.

5. Headlamp bulbs.

Install or Connect
1. Headlamp bulbs.
2. Headlamp electrical connectors.
3. Headlamp assembly.
4. Three composite headlamp assembly mounting bolts.

Tighten
^ Bolts to 12.5 N.m (110 lb. ft).
5. Capsule assembly to the composite headlamp assembly with one retaining screw.

Tighten
^ Capsule assembly screw to 5 N.m (44 Lb. in).
^ Close hood.
