Troubleshooting Hints
WARNING: This vehicle has a Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) system. Refer to the SIR Component Location View in order to determine whether you are performing service on or near the SIR components or the SIR wiring. When you are performing service on or near the SIR components or the SIR wiring, refer to Air Bags and Seat Belts. Failure to follow WARNING could cause air bag deployment, personal injury, or unnecessary SIR system repairs. Restraints and Safety Systems1. CHECK condition of HORN mini Fuse. If Fuse is open, LOCATE and REPAIR source of overload. REPLACE Fuse.
^ CHECK for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause a system malfunction but prove GOOD in a Continuity/Voltage check with a system disconnected. These circuits may be intermittent or resistive when loaded, and it possible, should be checked by monitoring for a voltage drop with the system operational (under load).
^ CHECK for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other system (See Diagnostic Aids for General Troubleshooting Procedures). Diagnostic Aids
