Auxiliary Evaporator Underbody Rear Tube Assembly:

Auxiliary Evaporator Connection:

Remove or Disconnect

1. Discharge and recover refrigerant from the system.
2. Threaded connections from assembly inlet and outlet tubes from underbody tubes.
3. Bolts retaining clips on assembly tubes to body.
4. Nut retaining the tube assembly to auxiliary evaporator module.
5. Tube assembly from the auxiliary evaporator module.
6. O-ring seals.

Install or Connect

1. New O-ring seals.
^ Coat O-ring seals with 525 viscosity refrigerant oil.
2. Tube assembly to the auxiliary evaporator module.
3. Nut retaining the tube assembly to the auxiliary evaporator module.

Tighten

^ Nut to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

4. Bolts retaining clips on assembly tubes to the body.

Tighten

^ Bolts to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

5. Auxiliary evaporator underbody rear tube assembly inlet tube to auxiliary evaporator inlet underbody side tube assembly.

Tighten

^ Fitting to 27.5 N.m (20 lb ft).

6. Auxiliary evaporator underbody rear tube assembly outlet tube to auxiliary evaporator outlet underbody side tube assembly.

Tighten

^ Fitting to 47.5 N.m (35 lb ft).


7. Refrigerant to the system.
^ Check the system for leaks.
