Assembly of Tripot Housing and Tripot Seal

1. Place the large retaining clamp on the seal. Now place the housing over the spider assembly. Install the seal onto the housing.





2. Check the inboard stroke position.





3. Secure the large retaining clamp and the seal to the housing with tool J 35566. Torque the large retaining clamp to 176 Nm (130 lb ft). Check the gap dimension on the clamp ear.





4. Remove the convolute retainer (tool 7848076) from the seal.
