Overdrive Carrier Pinion End Play Check

- J 8001 Dial Indicator Set
- J 26900-13 Base





1. Mount the J 8001 to the rod and index it to the overdrive carrier pinion gear (518).
2. Set the J 8001 to zero.
3. Manually raise the overdrive carrier pinion gear (518). The end play should be 0.228 - 0.610 mm (0.008 - 0.025 inch).
