Valve Body and Wiring Harness Removal

1. Remove all electrical connectors from the electrical components.





2. Remove the Torque Converter Clutch Pulse Width Modulation (TCC PWM) solenoid retainer clip.
3. Remove the TCC PWM solenoid.





4. Remove the TCC solenoid bolts; and remove the valve body bolts that hold the wiring harness down.





5. Remove the TCC solenoid and wiring harness. Turn the. wiring harness over so that it hangs over the side of the transmission..





6. Remove the pressure switch assembly bolts.
7. Remove the pressure switch assembly.





8. Remove all valve body bolts.
9. Remove the fluid level indicator stop bracket.





10. Lift the valve body carefully so that the checkballs remain on the spacer plate in the correct location. While lifting the valve body, disconnect the manual valve link from the manual valve.





11. Remove the seven valve body checkballs.





12. Remove the accumulator cover bolts.
13. Remove the 1-2 accumulator cover and pin assembly.
14. Disassemble the 1-2 accumulator assembly.





15. Remove the spacer plate support bolts.
16. Remove the spacer plate support.





17. Remove the spacer plate, the valve body gasket, valve body spacer plate and the case gasket.





18. Remove the 3-4 accumulator spring and the 3-4 accumulator piston.





19. Remove the case checkball.
