Information - Proper Fill Tube and Bottom Pan Combination for SRTA/Goodwrench

Models:
1998 Chevrolet and GMC C/K, G Models with HYDRA-MATIC 4L60-E (RPO M30)

Some vehicles were built with a 1998 START OF PRODUCTION TRANSMISSION that had a "regular" bottom pan.

On October 1, 1997 (Julian Date 274), a new "deep" bottom pan (17 mm deeper) was implemented which requires a new fill tube.

Any vehicle with the "regular" bottom pan that requires a replacement transmission assembly (SRTA) must be fitted with a new fill tube which is 14 mm shorter (P/N 15732100-C/K Models/ 15150125-G Models).

Order a new fill tube it you have an early 1998 Transmission Assembly that needs to be replaced.

Reuse the current fluid level indicator (dipstick).
