b. Front Housing Disassemble

^ Tools Required
- J 23907 Slide Hammer With Adapter
- J 36511 Oil Plug Hex Bit (17 mm)
- J 36800 Shift Shaft Bushing Remover

NOTICE: Do not remove the vent from the front housing. If the vent is damaged, the front housing must be replaced.





1. Remove the input shaft bearing from the front housing.
2. Use the J 23907 and the J 36800 in order to remove the shift rail front housing from the bushing.





3. Use the J 36511 to remove the oil fill plug.
4. Remove the gasket material from the housing.
