Circuit Operation

Voltage to the Rear Window Release system is available at all times through the CIG LTR Fuse and ORN (640). Ground for the Rear Window Release Motor is provided through YEL (1737) through the Park/Neutral Position Switch (A/T).

This switch is closed to ground with the Transmission in Park or Neutral. Closing the Liftgate Window Release switch allows current to flow through the Switch and BLK (1576) to the Liftgate Window Release Motor.
