- A torque converter with a Torque Converter Clutch (TCC)
- A gear type oil pump
- Five multiple disk clutches
- Two band assemblies
- Three planetary gear sets
- One sprag clutch
- Two roller clutches A control valve body assembly

The electrical components of this unit are as follows:
- Two shift solenoid valves, 1-2 and 2-3
- A Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) solenoid valve
- A transmission Pressure Control (PC) solenoid valve
- An automatic Transmission Fluid Temperature (TFT) sensor
- An automatic Transmission Fluid Pressure (TFP) manual valve position switch assembly
- An Output Speed Sensor (OSS)
- An Input Speed Sensor (ISS)
