Condition

Some owners, with vehicles built prior to the above VIN breakpoints, may comment about a rattling noise coming from the I/P dash area.

Cause

On early 1998 built vehicles, the screw that secures the left and center insulator panels together, underneath the I/P on the driver's side, may pull the one push/insert nut out of the center insulator panel. This occurs because there is a gap between the mating surfaces of the two panels that hold the push/insert nut in place.

Correction

Rotate the push/insert nuts 90° to a horizontal position.
