Upper Intermediate Shaft Replacement






REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Turn the steering wheel so that the front wheels are pointing straight ahead.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position and remove the key.
- Note the relationship of the upper intermediate shaft to the lower intermediate shaft and the upper intermediate shaft to the steering column to ensure proper installation.
3. Steering column, refer to "Steering Column Replacement."
4. Nut and bolt that retain the upper intermediate shaft to the steering column.
5. Upper intermediate shaft from the steering column.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Upper intermediate shaft to the steering column.
2. Nut and bolt that retain the upper intermediate shad to the steering column.
- Tighten nut to 47 Nm (35 lb ft).
3. Steering column, refer to "Steering Column Replacement."
