Axle Vibration Damper Replacement (ZR2)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE





1. Raise the vehicle. Suitably support the vehicle at the frame.
2. Remove the front dampener nut from the frame mount bracket.
3. Remove the rear dampener bolt and nut from the axle mount bracket.





4. Remove the dampener frame mount bracket from the frame, if necessary.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. Install the dampener frame mount bracket to the frame, if removed.
2. Install the bolts and nuts.
2.1. Tighten the bolts to 46 Nm (34 ft. lbs.).
2.2. Tighten the nuts to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the rear dampener bolt and nut to the axle mount bracket,
3.1. Tighten the bolt to 86 Nm (63 ft. lbs.).
3.2. Tighten the nut to 65 Nm (48 ft. lbs.).
4. Install the front dampener nut to the frame mount bracket.
- Tighten the nut to 100 Nm (74 ft. lbs.).
