DISASSEMBLE
1. Do all steps under REMOVE OR DISCONNECT, in LOWER SHROUD, UPPER SHROUD.
Disassembling Linear Shift Assembly:
2. Hexagon flanged head bolt (46) from the support bracket asm (49).
3. Ball & actuator assembly (45).
4. Actuator bushing (51) from the support bracket asm (49).
5. Three oval head 6-lobed socket tap screws (47) from shift gate.
6. Shift lever clevis (41).
A. Lift up on shift gate and rotate shift lever clevis (41).
B. Clevis (41) from gearshift lever assembly support bracket (49).
7. Actuator bushing (51) from the support bracket asm (49).
8. Park lock cable assembly (48) from support bracket (49).
9. Pry actuator arm of electrical (BTSI) actuator (61) from outer shift cable ball stud on cable shift cam assembly (44).
10. Pry transaxle shift cable from innerball stud on cable shift cam assembly (44).
11. Hexagon flange head bolt (46) from the cable shift cam asm (44).
12. Cable shift cam assembly (44).
13. Two cam bushings (63) from cable shift cam assembly (44).
14. Switch asm, park position (50).
15. Three flat head 6-lobed socket tap screws (43).
16. Gearshift lever assembly support bracket (49).
ASSEMBLE
1. Lubricate all moving parts of assembly with synthetic grease.
2. Gearshift lever assembly support bracket (49).
3. Three flat head 6-lobed socket tap screws (43).
^ Tighten screws (43) to 10 Nm (89 lb in).
4. Park position switch assembly (50).
5. Insert two cam bushings (63) into cable shift cam assembly (44).
6. Cable shift cam assembly (44).
7. Hexagon flange head bolt (46) to the cable shift cam asm (44).
^ Tighten bolt (46) to 18 Nm (14 lb ft).
8. Transaxle shift cable to inner ball stud on cable shift cam assembly (44).
9. Actuator arm of electrical (BTSI) actuator (61) to outer shift cable ball stud on cable shift cam assembly (44).
10. Park lock cable assembly (48) to support bracket (49).
11. Insert bushing actuator (51) to support bracket (49).
12. Shift lever clevis (41) and shift gate to support bracket (49).
A. Position shift gate to end of clevis (41) lever.
B. Rotate clevis (41) and shift gate into position.
C. Push against shift lever spring tension to align shift gate holes with support bracket (49) holes.
13. Three oval head 6-lobed socket tap screws (47).
^ Tighten screws (47) to 6.5 Nm (58 lb in).
14. Insert bushing actuator (51) to support bracket (49).
15. Ball & actuator assembly (45).
16. Hexagon flanged head bolt (46).
^ Tighten bolt (46) to 18 Nm (14 lb ft).
17. Park lock cable assembly (48) to lock module assembly (15).
^ Lock cylinder should be in "OFF-LOCK" position and gear shift in "PARK" position.
^ Locking tab on end of cable (48) to slot in lock module assembly (15).
18. Do Adjust and Inspect under INSTALL OR CONNECT, in ELECTRICAL (BTSI) ACTUATOR.
19. Do all steps under INSTALL OR CONNECT, in LOWER SHROUD, UPPER SHROUD.
