i. Rear Housing Assemble

- Tools Required
- J 36190 Drive Handle
- J 36504 Output Shaft Oil Seal Installer
- J 36511 Oil Plug Hex Bit (17 mm)





1. Use the J 36190 in order to install the rear housing shift shaft bushing into the rear housing.
1.1. Install the bushing into the bore so that the writing on the bushing lip faces toward the housing.
1.2. Install the bushing flush.





2. Install the shift shaft support and the snap ring into the rear housing.
3. Apply petroleum jelly between the lips of the seal.





4. Use the J 36504 in order to install the slip yoke oil seal.
5. Apply pipe sealant to the threads of the oil drain plug.





6. Use the J 36511 in order to install the oil drain plug.
- Tighten the oil drain plug to 37 Nm (27 ft. lbs.).
