Door Lock Operation - Remote Control Door Lock Receiver

LOCK
When the LOCK button is pressed on the Transmitter and the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver receives a signal with a valid Vehicle Access Code (VAC) the lock function sequence is performed. The Remote Control Door Lock Receiver will Lock all doors.

Battery voltage is available at cavity R of the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver. This voltage energizes the Door Lock Relay, which in turn, activates the door lock motors. The ground path for the LH Front Door Lock is through the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver cavity A. The RH Front and Side Door Lock Motors ground through the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver cavity H. The Rear Door Lock Motor grounds thorough the Remote Control Door lock Receiver cavity C. The Remote Control Door lock Receiver grounds through G200.

UNLOCK
The UNLOCK function is separated into two operations, depending on how the Unlock button is pressed on the Transmitter. If the UNLOCK button is pressed once. only the LH door is unlocked. If the UNLOCK button is pressed twice within one to five seconds, the other doors will UNLOCK also including the Liftgate. if equipped.

When the UNLOCK button is pressed once on the Transmitter and the Remote Control Door lock Receiver receives a valid VAC, the unlock function sequence is performed. The Remote Control Door Lock Receiver supplies battery voltage to the LH Front Door Lock Motor through the TAN (694) wire. The motor is grounded through the contacts of the Lock Switch inside the Door Lock Relay. The LH Door Lock Motor runs to unlock the LH Front Door.

If the UNLOCK button on the Transmitter is pressed twice to unlock all doors, the Remote Control Door lock Receiver activates the door unlock output at cavity B. The Remote Control Door Lock Receiver supplies battery voltage to the coil of the unlock relay in the Door lock Relay through the WHT (194) circuit. The Unlock Relay is energized and closes its contacts. Battery voltage is supplied to the RH Front Door, Side Door, and Rear Door Motors. The motors are grounded through contacts of the Lock Switch, inside the Door Lock Relay Assembly. The Motors run to unlock the RH Front, Side, and Rear Doors.

The Remote Control Door Lock Receiver supplies battery voltage to the door lock motors. Voltage from cavity A is supplied to the LH Front Door Lock Motor. Voltage from cavity H is supplied to the RH Front and Side Door lock Motors. Cavity C provides voltage to the Rear Door lock Motor Ground for the Door Lock Motors is provided through the normally closed contacts of the LOCK Switch, inside the Door Lock Relay. All Door Lock Motors run to Unlock all doors.
