Troubleshooting Hints - Compressor Controls

1. CHECK the condition of the Refrigerant to ensure adequate system pressure. Outside temperature must be above 16°C (60°F) in order to properly diagnose the system.
2. CHECK the condition of the HTR-A/C Fuse (Fuse 12) on the I/P Fuse Block, A/C COMP FUSE, and IGN-E FUSE on the Underhood Fuse-Relay Center. If Fuse(s) are open, LOCATE and REPAIR source of overload, REPLACE Fuse(s).
^ CHECK for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause system failure but prove GOOD in a Continuity/Voltage check (Refer to Troubleshooting Procedures).
^ CHECK for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems (Refer to Troubleshooting Procedures). Diagnostic Aids
