Installation Procedure

Description:

1. Install the SDM (4) to the vehicle.
2. Install the SDM mounting fasteners (1).
Tighten
Tighten fasteners to 12 N.m (106 lb. in). Refer to Fastener Notice in Vehicle Damage Warnings.
3. Install the SDM harness connector (2) to the SDM (4).
4. Install the Connector Position Assurance (CPA) (3) to the SDM harness connector (2).
5. Position the carpet to cover the inflatable restraint Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM).
6. Install the LH carpet retaining sill trim molding. Refer to Trim Plate Replacement in Interior Trim.
7. Install the driver seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement in Seats.
8. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System.
