Oil Pump: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE





1. Remove the oil pan.
2. Remove the oil pump. Refer to Oil Pump Clean Removal under Engine Unit Repair.
3. Clean and inspect all parts. Refer to Oil Pump Clean and Inspect under Engine Unit Repair.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. Install the oil pump. Refer to Oil Pump Installation under Engine Unit Repair.

IMPORTANT: Use a NEW oil pump driveshaft retainer.

2. Install the oil pan.
