Front Suspension

REMOVAL PROCEDURE





1. Raise the vehicle on a hoist so that the control arms hang free. Support the vehicle with safety stands.
2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly.
3. Remove the stabilizer shaft from the lower control arm.
4. Remove the lower ball joint.
5. Secure the spring with a chain through the spring and the control arm.

Important: The chain is not to take place for safety, but to retain the coil spring to the upper control arm.





6. Lower the control arm by lowering the jack.
7. When compression is removed from the coil spring, take the chain away.
8. Remove the coil spring and the insulator (1). Position the coil spring properly for easy removal.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. Install the coil spring and the insulator on the lower control arm.
^ The coil spring is installed with the tape at the lowest position, and a gripper notch at the top (2).
^ Inspection drain holes (3). One hole must be covered by the end of the spring, and one hole must be open.
^ Secure the spring with a chain through spring and the control arm.
^ Make sure the spring insulator (1) is on top.





2. Secure the spring with a chain through the spring and the control arm.

Important: The chain is not to take place for safety, but to retain the coil spring to the upper control arm.

3. Support the lower control arm using safety stand.
4. Raise the safety stand until the lower ball joint is seated properly.
5. Install the lower ball joint.
6. Install the stabilizer shaft.
7. Install the tire and wheel assembly.
8. Remove the safety stands.
9. Lower the vehicle.
