Antenna, Radio: Description and Operation
The Power Antenna operates automatically with the operation of the Radio. When the Radio is turned on, the Radio places a Radio Signal On voltage on the PNK (314) wire. When this voltage is applied at the Power Antenna Assembly, the Power Antenna Assembly motor operates to raise the antenna. Power is supplied at all times to the Power Antenna Assembly by the RADIO-B Fuse 19 in the IP Fuse Block through the ORN (1140) wire. The Power Antenna Assembly is grounded through BLK (150) wire to Ground G20l. When the Radio is turned off, the Radio Signal On voltage is removed from the PNK (314) wire and the Power Antenna Assembly automatically lowers the antenna. If the Ignition Switch is turned off with the Radio still on, the Antenna automatically lowers. It will raise again when the Ignition Switch is placed in RUN and the Radio starts playing.
