Horn: Description and Operation

Voltage is available at all times to the Horn Relay's coil and contacts from the Horn Fuse through the ORN (740) wire. When the Horn Switch is actuated, the Horn Switch contacts close connecting ground to the coil of the horn Relay through the BLK (28) wire. Current flows through the Horn Relay coil and the Horn Relay's normally-open contacts close. Voltage is applied to the Horns through the DK GRN (29) wire. The horns are grounded through the BLK (150) wire to Ground G103. Current flows through the Horns causing them to sound. When the Horn Switch is released, the Horn Relay is de-energized and the Horns are silent.
