Knee Bolster Replacement - Right

REMOVAL PROCEDURE


1. Remove the instrument panel lower extension upper trim panel.
2. Remove the bolts that retain the instrument panel passenger knee bolster to the knee bolster brackets.
3. Pull on the instrument panel passenger knee bolster in order to disengage the retainers.
4. Remove the instrument panel passenger knee bolster from the vehicle.
5. Inspect the instrument panel passenger knee bolster for broken or missing retainers. Replace the retainers as needed.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE


1. Position the instrument panel passenger knee bolster to the vehicle.
2. Push on the instrument panel passenger knee bolster in order to engage the retainers.

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install the bolts that retain the instrument panel knee bolster to the knee bolster brackets.

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 4 N.m (35 lb in).

4. Install the instrument panel lower extension upper trim panel.
