Power Steering Pump Bracket

Steering Pump Bracket (4.3L, 5.0L And 5.7L Engines):

Steering Pump Bracket (7.4L And 6.5L Typical):

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. The pump pulley from the vehicle.
2. Drain the steering fluid from the vehicle.
3. The hoses from the steering pump.
4. The bolt from the steering pump brace to the engine.
5. The bolts and nut from the bracket.
6. The bracket from the vehicle.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. The bracket to the vehicle.
2. The bolts and nut to the bracket.

Tighten
^ The bracket retaining bolts and nut as follows:
- 4.3L, 5.0L and 5.7L to 41 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).
- 7.4L and 6.5L Diesel to 66 Nm (49 ft. lbs.).

3. The bolt to the steering pump brace and then to the engine.

Tighten
^ The steering pump brace retaining bolt to 41 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).

4. The hoses to the steering pump
5. Fill the steering fluid reservoir.
6. The pump pulley to the vehicle.
7. Bleed the system.
