Battery Tray Replacement (Rear)
REMOVAL PROCEDURE1. Disconnect the battery negative cable from the battery negative terminal.
2. Disconnect the auxiliary positive and negative battery cables.
3. Support the battery tray with a jackstand or equivalent.
4. Remove the battery tray bolts.
5. Remove the battery tray from the vehicle.
6. Remove the battery hold-down retainer bolt.
7. Remove the battery from the tray.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the battery to the tray.
2. Install the battery hold-down retainer bolt.
NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
3. Support the battery tray with a jackstand or equivalent.
4. Install the battery tray to the vehicle.
5. Install the bolts to the battery tray.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
6. Connect the auxiliary positive and negative battery cables. Refer to Battery Cable Replacement (Battery Cable Aux Positive) and Battery Cable Replacement (Battery Cable Aux Negative). Service and Repair
7. Install the front battery negative battery cable.
