Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)S

NOTICE: Turn off the ignition key when disconnecting or reconnecting battery power in order to prevent system damage.

IMPORTANT: Disconnecting the negative battery will result in the loss of other on-board memory data, such as preset radio tuning.

Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)s will be cleared by one of the following ways:

^ Use a scan tool by following the instructions supplied by the manufacturer.

^ Disconnect the battery positive voltage, for at least thirty (30) seconds, by disconnecting the negative battery cable.

^ When the vehicle has completed 40 warm-up cycles and not detected a failure.
