Troubleshooting Hints - Exterior Lights

1. CHECK condition of PARK LPS Fuse 9, TURN B/U Fuse 16, HAZARD Fuse 5, and STOP Fuse 1. If any fuse is open, LOCATE and REPAIR cause of overload and REPLACE Fuse(s).
2. CHECK that Grounds G108, G109, G201, G400, and G401 are clean and tight.
3. CHECK that exterior lamp filaments are not open.
4. CHECK that the Instrument Cluster Left or Right Turn Signal Indicator filaments are not open.
5. If all of the Front Park and Side Marker Lamps are inoperative but the rear lamps operate, then LOCATE and REPAIR the open in the BRN (9) wire between Splice S225 and Splice S135.
6. If all of the Rear Park Lamps and the License Lamp are inoperative but the front lamps operate, then LOCATE and REPAIR the open in the BRN (9) wire between Splice S225 and Splice S402.
7. If both Left Rear Park Lamps are inoperative, then LOCATE and REPAIR the open in the BRN (9) wire between Splice S402 and Splice S901.
8. If both Right Rear Park Lamps are inoperative, then LOCATE and REPAIR the open in the BRN (9) wire between Splice S402 and Splice S900.
9. If both bulbs in a single lamp assembly are inoperative, LOCATE and REPAIR the open in the common ground circuit from the lamp. CHECK for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside the insulation which could cause system malfunction but prove GOOD in a Continuity/Voltage check with a system disconnected. These Circuits may be intermittent or resistive when loaded, and if possible, should be checked by monitoring for a Voltage drop with the system operational (under load).
