Lubricate
    Steering and Suspension
      Lubricate the front suspension, ball joints, steering linkage, transmission shift linkage, parking brake cable guides, and brake pedal springs. Ball joints should not be lubricated unless their temperature is -12 degrees C (10 degrees F) or higher or they could be damaged.
Inspect
    Radiator Cooling Fan
      If your engine has a thermostatically controlled cooling fan, inspect hoses and ducts for proper hook-up (or every 12 months, whichever occurs first). Be sure the valve works properly.
    Heat Shield, Exhaust
      Vehicles over 8,500 lbs. GVWR only. Inspect shields and underhood insulation For damage or looseness. Adjust or replace as required.
    Fuel Tank
      Inspect the fuel tank(s), cap and lines for damage or leaks. Inspect the fuel cap gasket for any damage. Replace parts as needed.
    Fluid - Differential
      Inspect front/rear axle fluid level and add fluid as needed. Inspect constant velocity joints and axle seals for leaking. If driving in dusty areas or towing a trailer, drain fluid and refill every 25 000 km (15,000 miles). More frequent lubrication may be required for heavy-duty or off-road use.
    Exhaust Gas Recirculation
    Evaporative Emissions System
      Inspect all the fuel and vapor lines and the hoses for proper hook-up, routing and condition. Ensure that the purge valve works properly, if equipped. Replace the components as needed.
    Drive Belt
Replace
    Oil Filter, Engine
      Or every 12 months, whichever occurs first.
    Fuel Filter
    Engine Oil
      Or every 12 months, whichever occurs first.
    Air Filter Element
Clean/Repack
    Wheel Bearing
      Clean and repack the front wheel bearings (or at each brake relining whichever occurs first).
