Valve Lifter Installation

1. Apply lubricant GM P/N 12345501 or equivalent to the valve lifter rollers.
2. Install the valve lifters.

IMPORTANT: If reusing the valve lifters, install the valve lifters; in the original positions.





3. Install the valve lifter guides.
4. Install the valve lifter guide retainer.
5. Install the valve lifter guide retainer bolts.
- Tighten the valve lifter guide retainer bolts to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
