Console Replacement - Front Floor (Console With Extension)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE



1. Remove the front seats, if removing the floor console bracket.
2. Open the console door.
3. Remove the screws connecting the floor console to the floor console bracket.




4. Remove the console cupholder.




5. Remove the screws connecting the floor console (1) to the console extension (3).
6. Remove the floor console.
7. Remove the floor console bracket (2).
8. Remove the console extension upper compartment insert.
9. Remove the remote CD player if equipped.




10. Remove the screws connecting the console extension to the Instrument Panel (IP).
11. Slide the extension rearward and unsnap the extension from the upper fasteners.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE



1. Slide the extension forward and onto the upper fasteners.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the screws connecting the console extension to the IP.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

3. Install the upper compartment insert.




4. Position the floor console bracket (2) on the floor panel studs.
5. Position the console to the floor console (1) bracket.
6. Install the screws connecting the floor console to the console extension.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).




7. Install the cupholder.




8. Install the screws inside of the floor console compartment connecting the floor console to the floor console bracket.

Tighten
Tighten the floor console storage compartment screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

9. Close the console door.
10. Install the front seats it necessary.
