Compressor Pressure Relief Valve Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the electrical connectors, as necessary.
3. Remove the compressor pressure relief valve.
4. Remove the O-ring seal.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Coat the O-ring seal with 525 viscosity refrigerant oil.
2. Install the new O-ring seal.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install the compressor pressure relief valve.

Tighten
Tighten the compressor pressure relief valve to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

4. Connect the electrical connectors, as necessary.
5. Connect the negative battery cable.
