Seat Back Cover and Pad Replacement - Front
REMOVAL PROCEDURE1. Remove the front seat from the vehicle.
2. Remove the head restraints and guides.
3. Remove the seat trim panel.
4. Remove the outboard seat belt anchor nut. Pull the seat belt through the seat cushion.
5. Unclip the bottom edge of the seat back cover.
6. Using a side motion, carefully lift off the seat back cover partially off the foam pad.
7. Remove the rear cardboard panel. Remove the panel fasteners on each side of the frame.
8. Unclip the headrest bushings.
9. Remove the armrests, if equipped.
10. Remove the armrest pocket trim wire (1).
11. Remove the seat belt tower. Pull the seat belt and seat belt bezel through the tower.
12. Lift the remainder of the seat back cover off the foam pad.
13. Carefully remove the foam pad from the frame.
14. Transfer the heater element if necessary.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Attach the foam pad to the frame.
2. Pull the seat back cover partially onto the top of the frame.
3. Attach the seat belt tower. Pull the seat belt and seat belt bezel through the tower.
4. Install the armrest pocket trim wire (1).
5. Install the armrests, if equipped.
6. Attach the headrest bushings. Refer to Bucket Seat Headrest Bushing Replacement. Bucket Seat Headrest Bushing Replacement
7. Install the rear cardboard panel. Attach the panel fasteners on each side of the frame.
8. Using a side motion, carefully pull the seat back cover onto the foam pad.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
9. Pull the seat belt through the seat cushion. Install the outboard seat belt anchor nut.
Tighten
Tighten the nut to 53 N.m (39 lb ft).
10. Install the seat trim panel.
11. Install the head restraints and guides.
12. Install the front seat in the vehicle.
