Evaporative Emission Control Canister: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.




1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector (5) from EVAP vent valve (6).
3. Remove Purge hose (2) and the hose to the fuel tank (7).




4. Remove the screw from the mounting bracket and canister.




5. Remove canister from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the EVAP canister tabs onto the mounting bracket.




2. Install the EVAP canister bracket screw.




3. Install the hose to fuel tank (7) and purge hose (2)
4. Reconnect electrical connector to EVAP vent valve (6).
5. Connect the negative battery cable.
