Hinged Body Side Window Replacement
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
Tools Required
1. J 24402-A Glass Sealant (cold knife) Remover
2. J 39040 Quarter Glass Remover
1. Open the glass. Disconnect the latch from the frame assembly.

3. Insert a door trim removal tool or the equivalent. Pry the glass encapsulation (V-Seal) away from the frame assembly at each hinge location.
4. Remove the rear quarter trim panel in order to gain access to the urethane bond between the body pinchweld and the frame assembly.
5. With the glass removed, separate the frame assembly from the body pinchweld using the J39040 or the J24402-A.
6. Remove the ring.
7. From inside the vehicle cover the window opening in order to protect the interior from the debris.
IMPORTANT: Take care not to damage the finish on the pinchweld.
8. From outside the vehicle, remove as much remaining urethane from the pinchweld flange as possible using a razor knife.
