Turn Signal & Multifunction Switch - Assemble

ASSEMBLY PROCEDURE

IMPORTANT: The electrical contact of the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly (2) must rest on the turn signal cancel cam assembly.





1. Install the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly (2) onto the steering column housing assembly.

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Screw the 2 pan head tapping screws (1) into the turn signal and multifunction assembly (2).
- Tighten the 2 pan head tapping screws to 7 Nm (62 inch lbs.).





3. Slide the 2 connectors (2) of the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly into the bulkhead connector (1).





4. Reconnect the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly connector to the SIR coil assembly connector.
5. Attach the wire harness assembly (1) to the steering column wire harness strap (2).
6. Install the upper and lower shrouds. Refer to Trim Covers, Shift Lever Seal - Assemble - Off Vehicle (Floor Shift).
